NetBoz
works over standard FreeBSD
services, giving maximum flexibility, ease of use and performance to
corporate networks. Do you need more power? just add hardware. No
user licences to pay for, no costly upgrades, no brand dependance.
NetBoz
is a live CD. It does not use a hard disk, while all the settings
are stored on a write-protectable diskette, making it virtually
inmune to intrusions and power failures.

- How to
activate the Proxy feature?
Squid is included in the
current release (v 1.2), but it hasn't a GUI interface. If you
want, you can configure and use it through the RC extension
capability.
- How to use the
VPN?
VPN is ready,
but not fully tested. You can download NetBoz 1.4b8 to use it
now.
- Will NetBoz be
free forever?
At
least the current version and the oncoming releases will be
free. Perhaps a very powerful one would cost a few bucks,
but we intend to keep NetBoz as free as possible. There will be
always a free version for you to download.
- How to use
NetBoz in transparent mode?
Transparent mode is not
supported by the web administration system, but you always can
overcome it by directly editing the configuration files.
- What about
IPv6 support?
NetBoz
is a FreeBSD based system, so it natively supports IPv6.
However, we are not including it in the web administration
system since IPv6 is currently at an experimental stage all over
the world, and not so many ISPs give IPv6 support at the present
time.
